Liner Notes

Whitney's Andalucia bar-band side-project, recorded in the early 1990s and self-released on their own Almajopeg Music imprint in 1995. The sleeve narrative dates the band's origin to August 1979 in southern Spain — Whitney + Tony Taylor playing blues and bluegrass on a hot dusty Andalusian street, the night alive with cicadas. Eleven tracks, ten Whitney/Taylor originals plus a re-cut of Family's 'Burlesque'. Distributed informally. Lineup: Charlie Whitney (guitar, slide, vocals), Tony Taylor (banjo, vocals; alias Captain Video), Alan 'Skunk' Rogers (drums), Pete Tomlyn (bass).
