Third album. Recorded at Scorpio Studios with the Mk II five-piece. Red Card reached number 16 on the UK albums chart — the band's only chart entry. Same month, Plotel and McBrain were sacked; the six-piece Mk III lineup that would record Vicious But Fair was assembled that summer.

Red Card — Beat Instrumental review
The reviewer begins with a confession: after the office’s near-constant devotion to Downtown Flyers, Red Card initially sounded disappointingly compressed. Repeated plays changed that verdict. Beat Instrumental found the album steadily opening up, recommended it strongly, and underlined just how potent Streetwalkers had become onstage.
Red Card — Mia Gerdin’s Dagens Nyheter review
Contemporary reception — research summary. Mia Gerdin responds favorably to Red Card (Vertigo 9102 010), praising its intensity and personality. She discusses “Run for Cover,” “Me an’ Me Horse an’ Me Rum,” “Daddy Rolling Stone” and “Between Us.” A group photograph accompanies the review; its photographer is not identified in the inspected item.
Booking correction: the review announces Streetwalkers at Gröna Lund the following evening. DN explicitly withdrew that announcement on 4 September: the appearance was cancelled while the group was being reorganized. The review must not be used as evidence that the show took place.

Memories of seeing this released in the wild, pressing variants, and corrections welcome.
Discovered the Streewalkers when I saw them supporting the Stones at Wembley a thousand years ago, and bought the album as soon as I could after the concert. Still got the vinyl, but have searched in vain on all the streaming sites to be able to listen on the move and get restored quality. Do you know if it’s available anywhere and if not, why not? I suggested it to Deezer on their wishlist option, but still not there and no reply, of course. Thanks!
