For their 19th BBC session, Family visited Studio 1 in Shepherd's Bush to record for Sounds of the Seventies. The taping occurred during a transitional phase between bassists, showcasing a unique four-piece lineup. They recorded four songs, including both sides of their new hit single, 'In My Own Time' and 'Seasons', alongside the tracks 'Burning Bridges' and 'Save Some For Thee'. The session was first broadcast on 17 July 1971, and was later repeated on BBC 6 Music's Live Hour on 13 June 2013. The complete recording survives and is available on BBC Radio Volume 2 – 1971–73.
