Supporting Joe Cocker (headliner) at Maple Leaf Gardens' Concert Bowl, with Toronto band Deja Vu filling the middle slot. Reviews the following day were brutal — both the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail filed sharply negative notices of the Streetwalkers set. Cocker's own performance fared little better, and Deja Vu, despite a favourable notice from Sam Charters in the Globe and Mail, were reported booed off stage in the Toronto Star account.
“The opening act, Streetwalkers, led by singer Roger Chapman, was only a ghostly remnant of that once fine British band, Family.” — Toronto Star, 11 May 1976

Starwood debut — Eliot Sekuler review (US weekly, c. late May 1976, 'Streetwalkers Raise the Roof'): "Los Angeles — Sprung from the remnants of once-popular U.K. band Family, Streetwalkers (Mercury) have emerged as a formidable full-tilt hard rock band, as was evidenced recently by the group's highly successful debut at the Starwood here. Working in a genre that could be likened to that of fellow Britishers Bad Company, Streetwalkers raised high the roof-beams with a thundering meat and potatoes set that sported no frills, few pretenses and no gimmicks."

On the set: "Highlights of Streetwalkers set included a couple of cuts from their recently released lp, most especially a rousing tune titled 'Walking On Waters' a relentlessly driving bit that effectively showcased guitarist Bob Tench as well as allowing the group's rhythm section — bassist Jonathan Potel and drummer Nicko — a chance to work out an extraordinarily thumping pace." On Chapman: "The group is fronted by lead singer Roger Chapman, an engagingly rough and tumble shouter who also displays, when the material calls for it, a surprising degree of vocal subtlety." Support act Straight Jacket (Tim McGovern's post-McGuinn / post-Arthur Lee band) opened. (See Press Archive: Streetwalkers Raise the Roof.)

US press cycle: Steven Rosen interviewed Chapman during the tour stretch — a hotel-room session captured with the US Streetwalkers (Mercury SRM1-1060) LP between them (companion image).

Closing night of the Streetwalkers' summer 1976 UK tour promoting Red Card, at the New Victoria Theatre on Wilton Road, London SW1 (now the Apollo Victoria). Contemporary Record World (10 July 1976) described it as a sell-out:

> Streetwalkers completed their highly successful tour with a sell-out concert at the New Victoria. An enthusiastic response to titles from their chart-making Red Card album was somewhat overshadowed by Roger Chapman's powerful delivery of several old Family favorites such as 'My Friend The Sun' and 'Burlesque'. However, Streetwalkers are distinctive enough to become a major international force, and watch out in particular for their version of 'Daddy Rolling Stone'.

Stockholm, Sweden
Streetwalkers’ planned appearance was cancelled while the group was being reorganized. A Dagens Nyheter correction published on 4 September explicitly withdrew the announcement in Mia Gerdin’s Red Card review the previous day. The group had agreed to come but would not appear that Saturday evening.

The Swedish organizer still anticipated a later tour, but the correction gives no replacement date and does not establish that such a tour took place. No individual personnel change is named.

DN correction, 4 September 1976, p.18 · Superseded announcement in the 3 September review, p.22.
