The surviving timeline is sparse in 1985, but the wider alumni story was not. Poli Palmer released his only solo album, the Fairlight-led Human Error, while John Wetton fronted Asia's third album, Astra. Roger Chapman's East German Amiga compilation also documents the unusual reach of his German-anchored solo career.
Asia released Astra in the UK with John Wetton on bass and lead vocals. It was the group’s third studio album and its last full-length studio set with Wetton until the original line-up reunited for Phoenix in 2008. The US issue preceded it on 11 November.
