2005

13 recorded events from 2005.

Chapman's regular touring remained the dominant live thread. Family and Streetwalkers catalogue sets kept earlier work available, led by Family's Mystic Old Songs New Songs box in November. The first three volumes of Chapman's Loft Tapes archival series also appeared during the year. John Wetton and Geoff Downes renewed their partnership on Icon, an important step toward the original Asia reunion.

Icon

John Wetton and Geoff Downes released Icon through Frontiers in April 2005. The album renewed the songwriting partnership that soon fed into the original Asia line-up's reunion. Downes' official biography places the release in April; the often repeated 2 August date appears to reflect a later catalogue or US listing.
